These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you (either an individual or a legal entity, "you" or "Customer") and UnfairLaw ("UnfairLaw," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the UnfairLaw evidence intelligence platform, including our website, software applications, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By creating an account, accessing our Services, or submitting documents for processing, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a law firm, organization, or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms, and references to "you" shall refer to that entity.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our Services.
UnfairLaw provides evidence intelligence and document processing services specifically designed for legal professionals. Our Services include:

Service Delivery: We process submitted documents and deliver structured intelligence outputs within twenty-four (24) hours of submission under normal operating conditions. Processing times may vary based on document volume, complexity, and system capacity.
Service Modifications: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Services at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes that adversely affect your use of the Services.
To access our Services, you must create an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information. You may register using third-party authentication providers (Google, Microsoft, Apple) or email-based authentication.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

Our Services operate on a credit-based pricing model. Each page of a submitted document consumes one (1) credit, regardless of whether OCR processing is required. For example, submitting a 500-page document will consume 500 credits.

Credits may be purchased through your account dashboard. Credit packages and pricing are displayed at the time of purchase. Unless otherwise specified in your plan:
Payment for credit purchases is due immediately at the time of purchase. We accept payment via credit card, debit card, and other payment methods as indicated on our website. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees to your payment method.
The Services, including all software, algorithms, user interfaces, designs, graphics, text, and other content provided by UnfairLaw, are owned by UnfairLaw and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain all ownership rights in the documents and materials you submit to the Services ("Customer Content"). By submitting Customer Content, you grant UnfairLaw a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, analyze, and transform your Customer Content to provide the Services.
The structured intelligence outputs generated by our Services from your Customer Content ("Processed Outputs") are owned by you. We grant you a perpetual, irrevocable license to use, modify, and distribute Processed Outputs for any lawful purpose.
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect Customer Content from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include:
We treat all Customer Content as confidential information. We will not access, use, or disclose Customer Content except:
We acknowledge that Customer Content may include materials subject to attorney-client privilege, work product doctrine, or other legal protections. We will not intentionally waive or compromise such protections. However, you are solely responsible for determining whether submitting documents to our Services affects any applicable privileges.
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
While our OCR technology achieves high accuracy rates, we do not guarantee 100% accuracy in document processing. OCR accuracy depends on factors including document quality, font types, handwriting legibility, and document condition.
You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of Processed Outputs before using them in legal proceedings.
UnfairLaw provides technology services, not legal advice. Our Services do not constitute legal advice, and we are not a law firm. You should consult with qualified legal counsel regarding any legal questions or decisions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, UnfairLaw shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Services.
Our total liability to you for all claims shall not exceed the amount you paid to UnfairLaw in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to liability, or one hundred dollars ($100), whichever is greater.
